Urban Street Angels Profiled in San Diego Reader

Urban Street Angels and our Tuesday night shelter had the honor of being the cover story of May’s San Diego Reader. With a circulation of over 90,000 weekly readers, it is one of the foremost news and interest publications in the area. This is incredibly exciting for us; the more eyes that can view the tragedy of youth homelessness in San Diego, the more leverage we at Urban Street Angels and 8 West have to effect change in the region.

We’re especially proud of our Operations Director, Jerry Troyer, who was profiled extensively in the article. His hard work–and that of our many volunteers at the only shelter focused on transition-age youth in San Diego County–is making a difference, day by day.
